Acne is one of the most common skin conditions. It can affect anyone at any age and can be very distressing as it often occurs on your face or neck. Acne sufferers may feel self-conscious when they see others or in photos, and this can lead to low self-esteem and anxiety. Acne usually clears up by itself within a few weeks but it’s important to remember that some acne will never go away completely. If you want your skin to look its best then read on for tips on how to clear acne fast!
Cleanse with a gentle cleanser
-
Cleansing is one of the first steps to clearing up acne. Cleanse your skin with a gentle cleanser that doesn’t irritate your skin, such as CeraVe’s Hydrating Facial Cleanser. Avoid harsh scrubs, astringents and anything that leaves a tingling feeling on your face. You should cleanse twice daily—in the morning and at night before bedtime—to remove dirt and oil from pores. Don’t forget to cleanse your neck and chest area as well!

Because you have oily skin, don’t use soap on your face; you’ll only be making matters worse by drying out newly formed zits with harsh soaps that strip away natural oils in the process of cleansing them off of the surface of the skin (not good).
Exfoliate your skin
Exfoliating your skin is an effective way to clear acne fast. By removing dead skin cells, it helps prevent blackheads and breakouts. You can exfoliate with a gentle scrub that contains natural ingredients like jojoba beads or rosemary extract. Exfoliating before applying a mask further helps remove dirt and oil from the surface of the skin, which will make it easier for you to apply makeup afterwards.
Make a mud mask
A mud mask is an easy way to clear your skin, but you’ll want to make sure it’s the right kind of clay for your skin type. If you have oily or acne-prone skin, try mixing together equal parts bentonite clay powder and apple cider vinegar to form a smooth paste. Apply this mixture to your face and neck (avoiding the eye area), then leave it on for 15 minutes before rinsing off with warm water and patting dry with a clean towel.
If you have dry or sensitive skin, consider mixing kaolin clay with raw honey instead of apple cider vinegar—but note that this will make for an even thicker consistency than the previous recipe! For best results with either option, apply once a week until all signs of acne are gone!
Apply a spot treatment
Spot treatments can be very helpful for pimples you have, but they do come with some risks. The most important thing to remember is that spot treatments should only be used on individual pimples, not the entire face. Some people think that using a spot treatment will clear your whole face of acne, but this is simply not true.
If you’re going to use a spot treatment, make sure it contains salicylic acid or glycolic acid; these chemicals help treat whiteheads and blackheads by exfoliating the surface of your skin. Benzoyl peroxide products are also useful for treating breakouts because they work as an antibacterial agent. However, benzoyl peroxide can cause photosensitivity in some people and make them sunburn more easily than usual—so if you’re worried about getting burned during summer vacation months or just want to avoid burns at all costs (which I totally understand), consider avoiding this ingredient altogether when choosing a spot treatment!
Drink more water
Simply drinking more water can help clear up your acne. The skin is the largest organ of the body, and it is responsible for preventing infections, regulating body temperature and protecting us from toxins. Drinking enough water keeps our natural protective barrier intact so that pores do not become clogged with excess oil or dead skin cells as they would if we were to drink less water. This process also helps your body detoxify itself with ease by flushing out impurities through urine and sweat. In addition to keeping skin healthy and hydrated, drinking enough water can help alleviate stress which is known to cause acne breakouts in some people.
If you are trying to lose weight then try switching from sugary drinks like soda or fruit juices entirely (they contain added sugar) instead opting for calorie free alternatives such as sparkling waters flavored without any artificial sweeteners like stevia drops/syrup etc.. If you prefer something sweeter then try adding fresh lime juice instead; it contains citric acid which gives a sour taste similar enough but without adding any extra calories at all!
Change your pillowcase every other day
-
Change your pillowcase every other day. This will help to keep bacteria and oil away from your face, which can lead to acne. If you’re still not convinced about this, think about this: when you sleep on a pillow that has been used for a few days, have you ever noticed how it starts to smell? That’s because of all the sweat and oils that have built up in there! So yeah, changing your pillowcase frequently is pretty important.
-
Buy a silk pillowcase if possible. If you don’t want to change your regular pillowcases every two days (or even weekly), then I recommend using one made out of silk instead—they are super soft and comfortable while also being good at keeping away acne-causing bacteria from reaching your skin while sleeping!
Keep your hands off your face!
The number one thing you can do to clear your skin is to keep your hands off of it. Your hands are home to all sorts of bacteria, and if you touch an area of your face that’s infected with acne, that bacteria can be transferred from your hand onto the affected area. The best way to avoid this is by simply keeping clean! Wash your hands regularly with soap and water and try not to touch any part of your face.
If you’re prone to breakouts on a regular basis (and not just occasionally), consider adding a facial cleanser into your skincare routine—you should be using this twice a day for best results. In addition, after washing with the cleanser, use a moisturizer on any areas where you’ve experienced breakouts or irritation in order prevent flaking or dryness caused by exfoliating ingredients in many cleaners like salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide (which could also lead to further blemishes).
Stress, hormones and poor hygiene can all create acne that is difficult to clear up.
Acne is an inflammatory skin condition that can be caused by stress, hormones and poor hygiene. Acne may appear as whiteheads, blackheads or pimples. It is usually found on the face, chest and back but can also occur on other areas of the body.
Acne is linked to the sebaceous glands producing too much oil (sebum). This can clog pores causing them to become inflamed and infected with bacteria called Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes). The result is red spots or pimples that are often painful or tender to touch.
